Map Scam Targets Nemaha County

Another potential scam, using the name of local government, is making the rounds in the local area.  Nemaha County Sheriff Rich Vernon, involves a phone caller claiming to be

selling advertisements for a tri-fold map, which they claim is being sponsored by Nemaha County.

 Vernon says he believes the caller is attempting to scam businesses into sending money for maps that likely never materialize.

Vernon says anyone with information about the scam is encouraged to contact his office.
