Washington County FFA Member Earns Top Honor

A member from the Washington County FFA Chapter received one of the state’s top honors for excellence in his Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) program. Nathan Doss was named the Kansas FFA Star in Ag Placement June 1 at the 84th Kansas FFA Convention on the Kansas State University campus.

Doss was first selected as the North Central FFA District’s Star in Ag Placement, becoming eligible as a state finalist. He competed against the six other district winners.  Doss’ winning SAE is in Swine Production. For the past five years, he has worked a 2500 head farrow to finish hog operation. His responsibilities have widely expanded through the years.

Doss in the son of Justin and Jennifer Hill. His advisor is John Kern.
