Centralia Schools Move Forward With Daycare Plan

The Centralia School District will move forward with the creation of a daycare in the City of Centralia.  The daycare is being created with strong support from the residents of Centralia. John Whetzal, Centralia Schools Principal, revealed a location has been secured and the planning for the daycare is moving forward.  The Daycare will be in the Centralia Community Building.

According to Whetzal the school districts pursuit of a daycare was fueled by strong support from the Centralia community, the City of Centralia, and families from the surrounding area.  Whetzal said the daycare will be licensed to care for a maximum of 59 children.  The daycare will be open to ages 12 months and walking through 5 years.

The opening is currently set for August 1st, with the daycare to be open 12 months out of the year.
