Area elevators report that wheat harvest is nearly complete throughout Kansas.
Beattie Coop reports that wheat harvest is at least 90% complete in Frankfort with yield averaging 40-45 bushel. Moisture was steady at 11-12 and test weights were running 60-61 pounds.
In Beattie the Coop reports harvest is 95% complete. According to area farmers yield ran between 30 and 60 bushels. Moisture was dry overall and test weights were good.
Southeast Nebraska Coop reports the wheat harvest is 99% complete in Kansas. Locations include Marshall County, Washington County, Herkimer and the surrounding area. Yields ran consistently in the 50-55 bushel range. The average test weight was 62 pounds and protein ran 11-12.
Southeast Nebraska Coop said the wheat harvest in their Nebraska service area is approximately 50% complete. This includes the Beatrice area.
