On Friday, May 25 at approximately 7:00 a.m., northbound and southbound US-77 in Marysville will be CLOSED to all traffic for approximately 16 hours that same day for repair work on the rails at the railroad crossing.
Advance message boards will alert drivers to the roadway closure. A marked detour will be provided. Northbound US-77 traffic will detour via westbound US-36 to northbound K-148 to eastbound Nebraska Highway 8 back to northbound US-77. Southbound US-77 traffic will detour via westbound Nebraska Highway 8 to southbound K-148 to eastbound US-36 back to southbound US-77. Drivers should expect delays and must use alternate routes during the road closure.
Then on Saturday/Sunday, May 26-27 during daylight hours, northbound and southbound US-77 will be reduced one lane for both directions through the same area each day to for continued repair work on the railroad crossing. Traffic will be directed through the work zone via flaggers. Drivers should expect minor delays both days.
Project work is scheduled to be completed on Sunday, May 27, weather permitting.
