Kliewer Loses Discrimination Lawsuit

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission ruled against former Gage County Highway Superintendent Marlin Kliewer in his discrimination suit against the county.

Kliewer, who resigned in August 2011, claimed the Gage County Board of Supervisors, particularly chairman Rex Adams, retaliated against him after he alleged the county was discriminating against former Weed Superintendent Emily Rosenthal because she was female.

Kliewer can file a lawsuit against the county within 90 days. Kliewer is currently running for the District 6 Gage County Supervisor seat currently held by Adams
