63-year-old Roger Brockhoff passed away Thursday at the K-U Medical Center in Kansas City. He was injured in April 4th explosion at Brockhoff Manufacturing. Brockhoff and another employee were working on a grain auger when the explosion occurred. The exact cause of the explosion is unknown. The other employee was treated for minor injuries at the Sabetha Community Hospital and released.
Brockhoff was president of the Prairie Hills USD 113 Board of Education previously served as president of the Sabetha-Wetmore USD 441 Board. He was a lschool board member for 25 years, serving as president at least 19 of those years.
