Weather permitting, work will begin Monday April 30th for the K-110 bridge, located about 1/2 mile north of the K-110 and U.S. 36 intersection inMarshallCounty. A 24-foot wide reinforced bridge structure will be replaced with a 32-foot wide reinforced concrete box. Beginning Monday mid-afternoon, all lanes of the 2 mile stretch of K-110 will be closed for the duration of the project. Traffic will be detoured via US-36 four miles west to the US-36 and 26th road junction, then two miles north on 26th road toIndian Road, then four miles east to the city limits of Axtell. Project work is scheduled to be completed in early September 2012. Klaver Construction of Kingman is the primary contractor on this project with a total contract cost of $444,541.
