One person was air-lifted to a Lincoln Hospital after a four vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 77 between Oak and Osage Road, just one mile north of the 77 and 121 intersections. Highway 77 was completely shut down for several hours Monday afternoon while law enforcement investigated a crash that included a total of four vehicles.
Gage County Deputies were attempting to reconstruct the crash Monday afternoon to determine what happened. Gage County Sheriff Millard “Gus” Gustafson said he’s fairly certain that smoke from a burning field west of U.S. Highway 77 obstructed the view of motorists, causing the crash.
