The National Weather Service will be conducting their annual tornado drill Tuesday at 1:30pm. The backup date, in case of severe weather, is March 15 at 1:30pm. The National Weather Service has declared March 12-16 as Kansas Severe Weather Week. Kansas had 68 tornadoes last year. The average for Kansas over the last 10 years has been 112. Tornadoes were officially responsible for three fatalities in Kansas during 2010.
