Rumors Spread on Facebook Spark Harassment

The Beloit Police Department has been investigating information they recently received from the public concerning a maroon and silver colored van that has been seen at local daycare centers, schools, and other locations in the City of Beloit.

Lots of “different” information concerning the investigation has made it to Facebook and the result says Mitchell County Attorney Mark Noah, an innocent man is being harassed.

Noah said the rumors have spread out Beloit into surrounding communities. Adding, during the time one citing was being reported in Glasco, the person being harassed was at the Law Enforcement Center in Beloit talking to Lt. Dave Elam of the Beloit Police Department.

Noah is asking the public to report suspicious behavior and to follow a simple formula when making the report.
