Wymore Man Pleads Guilty to Arson

A Wymore man has pleaded no contest to intentionally setting grass fires in rural southern Gage County.  Bryan Campbell was convicted of starting three fires on the evening of April 3rd.

The three charges did include third degree arson with damages amounting to more than $100.  In a plea agreement two of the charges were changed to damages amounting less than $100 making them misdemeanors.  One charge did remain a felony.

The felony carries a maximum punishment of five years in prison. The misdemeanors have maximum punishments of one year in prison each.

A pre-sentence investigation has been ordered and Campbell is scheduled to be sentenced on May 2.
