The Marysville Public Library will host a meeting to discuss the future of broadband access in our area. According to a Library press release Broadband Internet access increases the capacity of Kansas communities to build on their economic base and strengthen tax revenues. The access also helps the area attract and retain businesses.
According to the release libraries help overcome access gaps by providing computers and broadband connections to the public, but increasing demand and changes in funding for library broadband is requiring a community response.
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, February 28th at the Marysville Public Library from 6 to 8:30 in the evening. A light supper will be served followed by discussion which is scheduled to begin at 6:30.
