LIVE State Wrestling Coverage on AM 1570/FM 94.1

For the first time in the 55 year history of KNDY, we will be providing LIVE play by play coverage of every Marysville High School Wrestling Match at the 3-2-1A State Wrestling Championships at Gross Memorial Coliseum at Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kan.

Broadcasts will be available on Classic Country KNDY AM 1570/FM 94.1 and world-wide via the internet. To listen online please click the “Listen Live” button to the right.

Coverage will begin sometime after 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23. Marysville wrestlers will be in the following classes:

106 – Josh Goeffert
132 – Tyler Rockwell
138 – James Landoll
145 – Eddie Creek
160 – Jesse Nelson

Brackets, as well as live results, will be posted to the official 3-2-1 Wrestling website. That website is located at http://www.321wrestling.org.

About Derek Nester

Derek Nester was born and raised in Blue Rapids, and graduated from Valley Heights High School in May of 2000. He attended Cowley College in Arkansas City and Johnson County Community College in Overland Park studying Journalism & Media Communication. After stops at KFRM and KCLY radio in Clay Center, he joined KNDY in 2002 as a board operator and play by play announcer. Derek is now responsible for the digital content of Dierking Communications, Inc. 6 radio stations. In 2005 Derek joined the staff of KCFX radio in Kansas City as a production assistant for the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network, which airs on 69 radio stations across 9 Midwest states.
