Crime Stopper’s Tip Leads to Firearms Arrest

Gage County Sheriff’s report a Crime Stoppers tip led to the arrest of a felon in possession of firearms on Monday.

The tip led deputies and Wymore Police to Wesley P. Shillings, 38, of Wymore.  It was confirmed that Shillings had several felony convictions from Texas.  When questioned at his home by police Shillings admitted there were three firearms in the home. 

A .45 caliber pistol, a .22 caliber rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun were seized from the property and retained as evidence. Ammunition was also found.  Shillings was arrested for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and his bond was set at $5,000
