Gage County Supervisors approve 1 and 6 year road plans

The Gage County Board of Supervisors approved a one and six-year road plan.

Thirty-three projects were approved for the one-year road plan, including three federal bridge projects: Blue Springs-Wymore east; in Filley and N-12 Nemaha.

The one-year plan includes:  shouldering the Odell blacktop north and overlaying the Filley-Adams blacktop.   The most expensive project on the list includes the Filley-Adams blacktop overlay, stretching 11 miles and expected to cost $1.6 million.

Gage County Highway Department consultant Mark Mainelli of Mainelli Wagner and Associates informed commissioners a report they prepared focused on letting everybody in the county know where their money will be spenct.

According to Nebraska State Statute the highway department will prioritize the 33 projects and research what funding is available for the projects.
