Macomber Sentenced for Topeka Murder

Stephen A Macomber, age 44 of Topeka was sentenced Tuesday to more than 55 years after being convicted of fatally shooting another man on June 7th.  Shawnee County Judge Debenham sentenced Macomber to 54 years and five months for the murder conviction.

During the sentencing hearing district attorney Jacqie Spradling noted that Macomber had 19 prior convictions, 13 of them person felony convictions.

In Marshall County District Court, Macomber was sentenced July 1 to 80 years in prison after he was convicted of multiple felony crimes related to the shooting of Marshall County Deputy Fernando Salcedo and taking a Blue Rapids woman hostage.
