Marysville, KS – Community Memorial Healthcare (CMH) has a New Year’s Baby 2012. Trevor Dean Harries, son of Craig and Kelly (Walter) Harries, was born January 8, 2012 at 2:31 AM. He weighed 7 pounds, 9 ounces, and measured 20.5 inches long. CMH Family practitioner Dr. Randy Brown made the delivery.
Born several days after his due date, Trevor’s parents were delighted when they were announced the winners of the New Year’s Baby contest. Trevor’s birth also marks the date of the “first” New Year’s Baby to be born at the new hospital facility. CMH opened its doors to patients in March 2011.
Craig and Kelly Harries, who live north of Herkimer, have three other children: Austin who is 9 years old; Emma who is 6 years old; and Joseph who is 2. Craig graduated from Marysville High School and K-State University, and Kelly is a graduate of Linn High School. Craig is engaged in farming and ranching operations and Kelly is a stay-at-home mom. The proud grandparents are Marlon and Diane Walter, Linn, and Bill and Deanne Harries, Bremen. Great Grandparents are Delwin and Lois Bott, Palmer, and Edna Luehring, Hanover.
As the parents of the New Year’s Baby 2012, CMH presented Craig and Kelly with a home-made baby quilt, $50 in Marysville Chamber Bucks, a stuffed toy and a large bag of diapers. Craig and Kelly also receive congratulatory gifts as the winner of the Firstborn of 2012 Contest, sponsored by The Marysville Advocate and Marysville merchants.
