Pursuit Ends Near Wetmore

A 30-mile pursuit Sunday ended just 8 miles north of Wetmore.  The pursuit travelled through rural Jackson and Nemaha Counties.
Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse says Randall S. Rodvelt, a 43-year-old Circleville man, fled from officers as they responded to a domestic disturbance reported around 1:20 Sunday afternoon in Circleville.  According to reports Rodvelt allegedly battered a deputy.  Rodvelt allegedly hit a Jackson County Sheriff‘s Patrol vehicle during the pursuit.

The pursuit travelled approximately 30 miles in northern Jackson County and southern Nemaha County, ending approximately 8 miles north of Wetmore.  Rodvelt was arrested without incident at the scene.

Rodvelt was booked into Jackson County Jail on charges including battery on a law enforcement officer; criminal damage to property; driving under the influence; obstruction; fleeing or attempting to elude a law enforcement officer while engaging in reckless driving; and reckless driving.
Bond is pending.
