Death Reported After Industrial Accident at Landoll Corporation

The Marysville Police Department responded to an industrial accident at Shop 50 of Landoll Corporation along US Highway 36 early Friday morning.

Steven Jay Medina, 35, was taken by ambulance to Community Memorial Healthcare, where he was pronounced dead. Medina was employed as a fabricator on the second shift.

A Marysville Police Department news release said Medina was struck by a pipe.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Steve and our heartfelt sympathies go out to his family, relatives and many friends,” a company statement said. “We ask that we all lift up our prayers of comfort and concern to his family at this very difficult time.”
