  • K-State vs. Arkansas – Cotton Bowl – AM 1570/FM 94.1

The Kansas State Wildcats will face the Arkansas Razorbacks in the 2012 AT&T Cotton Bowl from Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Due to our coverage of this bowl game on our broadcast signal KNDY AM 1570 & FM 94.1 some programming changes are being made.

  • Marysville at Abilene – Live on kndyradio.com

The Marysville Bulldogs at Abilene Cowboys high school basketball games are scheduled to take place on January 6th. That ballgame will be broadcast LIVE on our website. You can tune into the MHS basketball games starting at 6:00 p.m. by visiting our Streaming Audio page at http://www.kndyradio.com/listenlive. MHS Girls at 6:00 PM, MHS Boys at 7:30 PM.

  • Valley Heights at Axtell – FM 95.5, kndyradio.com, BVTV Channel 2

The Valley Heights Mustangs will face the Axtell Eagles as well on January 6th. That broadcast will be on KNDY FM 95.5 and also available on our Streaming Audio page at http://www.kndyradio.com/listenlive. This ballgame will also be available on BVTV Channel 2 on Blue Valley Telecommunications, Inc. television & cable systems. Girls at 6:15 PM, Boys at 7:45 PM.

About Derek Nester

Derek Nester was born and raised in Blue Rapids, and graduated from Valley Heights High School in May of 2000. He attended Cowley College in Arkansas City and Johnson County Community College in Overland Park studying Journalism & Media Communication. After stops at KFRM and KCLY radio in Clay Center, he joined KNDY in 2002 as a board operator and play by play announcer. Derek is now responsible for the digital content of Dierking Communications, Inc. 6 radio stations. In 2005 Derek joined the staff of KCFX radio in Kansas City as a production assistant for the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network, which airs on 69 radio stations across 9 Midwest states.
