Marshall County Board Minutes

January 3, 2012

The Board of Marshall County Commissioners met in regular session with Charles R. Loiseau, Chairman; Thomas K. Holle and Robert S. Connell members; and Sonya L. Stohs,CountyClerkpresent.

The meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m.

The Board opened the meeting with the flag salute.

The minutes and agenda were approved as presented upon a motion by Thomas K. Holle moved, seconded by Robert S. Connell.  Unanimous.

Custodian Lou Wassenberg met with the Board.

Agency on Aging Director Heather Ruhkamp met with the Board.

Robert S. Connell moved, seconded by Thomas K. Holle to approve the following purchase order.  Unanimous.

Steven A. Kraushaar, Attorney,Marysville,KS
for court appointed attorney
$560.00-General (District Court) fund-P.O. # 4078

Thomas K. Holle moved, seconded by Robert S. Connell to approve the Home City Sewer bills and pay them from the appropriate funds available.  Unanimous.

Public Works Administrator Mike Craig and Public Works Coordinating Supervisor Larry Polson met with the Board.

Thomas K. Holle moved, seconded by Robert S. Connell to approve the following purchase order.  Unanimous.

Central Power Systems and Services,Kansas City,MO
for replacing truck turbo
$3,660.94-Road & Bridge fund-P.O. # 107665

Charles R. Loiseau moved, seconded by Robert S. Connell to go into executive session for five minutes at10:00 a.m.to discuss matters of non-elected personnel with Public Works Administrator Mike Craig present.  Unanimous.

Robert S. Connell moved, seconded by Thomas K. Holle to approve the vouchers, as presented, and issue manual warrants from the respective funds.  Unanimous.

Sheriff Daniel A. Hargrave met with the Board.   Charles R. Loiseau moved, seconded by Robert S. Connell to approve the following purchase order to be paid out of 2011 funds.  Unanimous.

for emergency restraint chair
$1,450.00-General (Sheriff) fund-P.O. 3986

Russell Behrends, B & W Electric, Hanover, KS presented the following cost to replace the 4” backflow preventer for the Courthouse basement sprinkler system in the amount of $3,532.32.  Charles R. Loiseau moved, seconded by Robert S. Connell to approve B & W Electric, Hanover, KS to replace the 4” backflow preventer on sprinkler system and labor to install in the Courthouse basement in the amount of $3,532.32.  Unanimous.

Thomas K. Holle moved, seconded by Robert S. Connell to approve the following purchase order to be paid out of 2011 funds.  Unanimous.

Midland Medical Supply,Lincoln,NE
for supplies
$577.14-Health fund-P.O. # 4035

Robert S. Connell moved, seconded by Charles R. Loiseau to adjourn at 11:42 a.m.  Unanimous.  The next scheduled meeting will be Monday, January 9, 2012 starting at 9:00 a.m.
