Man Killed in One Vehicle Accident

Pawnee County Sheriff Jayme Reed says a Jansen, Nebraska man died in a one-vehicle accident on Highway 8 just east of the Pawnee-Gage County line early Sunday morning.
The accident happened at around 1:25 a.m.
Sheriff Reed says Jeffrey Krumme was alone in his Chevy pickup, which was eastbound on Highway 8. Krumme lost control of the pickup, which overturned, ejecting Krumme from the vehicle. Passersby found the accident and called 9-1-1.
Krumme was not wearing a seat belt and Sheriff Reed says speed is believed to have been a factor in the accident, which remains under investigation.
