Southern High School Celebrates Homecoming

Southern Schools will celebrate their homecoming Friday Evening. The activities will kick off with an Elementary Pep Rally at 2:45 Friday followed by the High School Pep Rally at 3:15 in the gym. Allegations of Abuse at Beatrice Developmental Center

The Beatrice State Developmental Center is under investigation once again. The Nebraska State Patrol confirmed Wednesday it is investigating abuse and neglect allegations at one unit in the center. Patrol spokesperson said the investigation was requested by the Department of Health and Human Services and is ongoing. Accused Murderer Bound Over

23-year-old Amanda Marina Baynton of Marysville was been bound over to Marshall County District Court on charges of second-degree murder and aggravated assault. Marysville City Council Attempts to Keep SRS Office

The funding of the SRS office in Marysville was the topic of a special Marysville city council meeting Tuesday evening. The Marysville City Council approved a memorandum of understanding that proposes funding the SRS office through 2013.
