Marysville City Council Purchases Computers, Pickup Truck and Mower

Marysville City Council approved the purchase of 12 Sim Tablets, which are small mobile computers, at a cost of over 6000 dollars.  The Tablets will be issued to council members, department heads, the city administrator and the city attorney.  In a previous meeting the council discussed the use of the tablets, the potential improvement in communication and the potential to lower cost.  City Administrator Rick Shain commented that the cost of paper for the council agenda is a significant cost that would be eliminated.  The council approved the purchase on a 6-1 vote.

On a vote of 5-2 the City Council approved the purchase of a new pickup at a cost of over 39,000 dollars for the Marysville Police Department.  The council approved purchasing the pickup from Boss Motors in Marysville.

The Marysville City council also approved the purchase of a grasshopper mower at a cost of 19,000 dollars plus the trade-in of a used mower.
