Highways and Hospital are the Priorities in Marysville

Kent Nester, Department of Roads Manager for Marysville reports they are prepared for winter with five plow trucks and one loader.  According to Kent their vehicles are ready to roll with supplies of the salt mixture on hand.  Nester said their number one priority is always the highways and roads leading to the hospital.  He said a City of Marysville Ordinance dictates that side streets may not be cleared until there is at least six inches of snow.  Nester said they follow the ordinance, but may clear side streets with less than 6 inches of snow if there is drifting.
