Marysville Woman Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges

Donna L. Patterson, 39, of Marysville pleaded guilty Wednesday morning to drug charges resulting from an incident in August.

The incident began when Beatrice Police Officer was dispatched to the 1700 block of Elk Street after two individuals were seen breaking into a vehicle.  The officer approached the home and saw the back door was open. Through the screen, he saw Patterson take out a small baggy, which officers later identified as containing methamphetamine.

Patterson plead guilty in exchange for her case to be handled by the Southeast Nebraska Drug Court.

Southeast Nebraska Drug Court allows first-time offenders to be disciplined through judicial oversight rather than through traditional judicial punishment.
