Wymore Man Sentenced for Weapon’s Charge

A Wymore man was sentenced in United States District Court on Friday for weapons charges.

Southeast Nebraska Area Drug Enforcement Task Force press release reports that 21-year-old Christopher L. Volle was sentenced to 30 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for the charges.

The task force with help from the Wymore Police Department and the Bureau of alcohol, tobacco, firearms (ATF) federally indicted Volle on April 20, 2011.

During the investigation of Volle a search warrant was executed on his residence and an illegal “sawed off” shotgun was recovered. Also during the search, officers found narcotics and items from a burglary.

The Southeast Nebraska Area Drug Enforcement Task Force is a federally funded task force administered by the Nebraska Crime Commission.
