The State of Kansas has approved several bids on roadwork in the listening area. Shilling Construction received the contract to recycle and overlay a nearly 15-mile stretch of U.S. 36 Highway in Marshall and Nemaha Counties from the K-87 junction to the west junction of K-63 at a cost of about $3 million.
Dustrol Inc. of Towanda was awarded the bid for an asphalt pavement on 27 miles of roadway in Marshall and Nemaha Counties. It includes K-110 in Marshall County from the U.S. 36 junction to the south city limits of Axtell; K-63 in Nemaha County from K-9 to the east junction of U.S. 36; K-71 in Nemaha County from K-63 to the south city limits of Bern.
