Anhydrous Tanker Overturns

A semi hauling anhydrous overturned on Saturday.

The Gage County Sheriff’s Office responded to a one vehicle accident at the junction of SW 100th Rd. and W Cedar Rd south of Clatonia, NE. Kevin W. Hulse (46 years old) of Friend, NE was in the northbound lane of SW 100th Rd. turning east on W Cedar Rd. in a semi that he owned. While making the right turn to the east, the rear axles of the anhydrous ammonia tanker he was pulling, went into the ditch causing the anhydrous to shift. The momentum of the anhydrous caused the tanker to overturn on its side in the east ditch. The container did not rupture or leak as a result of the accident.

Hulse was not injured and was wearing his seat belt. Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
