Wecker Inducted Into Hall of Fame

On Sunday Marysville High School Graduate Kendra Wecker was inducted as a part of the 50th anniversary induction class into the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame. The 28 year old daughter of Pam and Randy Wecker will add this honor as another in a long list.

In High School she was recognized as one of the top basketball players in the midwest, breaking many of the Marysville High School records and receiving state and national recognition. She was also successful in several other high school sports. She went on to a successful basketball career with the Kansas State Wildcats. Both her high school and college jerseys were retired. She went fourth overall in the WNBA draft to the San Antonio Silver Stars and later played professionally in Spain. Wecker, is working on her master’s degree in athletic administration from the University of Oklahoma and is co-owner of Athletes In Rhythm. Wecker is also a girl’s basketball coach for several teams.
