Matt White, a singer/songwriter from New York City, will be giving a free concert at the Lee Dam Center for Fine Arts on October 26 at 7:30. The appearance is sponsored by the Marshall County Arts Cooperative.
While here, he will work with high school music students, conduct a choral clinic for sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade students, and give a free concert.
White will conduct a choral clinic for sixth-graders from Good Shepherd Lutheran School, Marysville Elementary School, and St. Gregory’s Catholic School and for seventh- and eighth-grade choir students from Marysville Junior High School.
Several music students from Marysville High School will open the concert for White. The students participate in a Popular Music Lab offered by Tobias Woods, Marysville Band Director. The students will perform original songs for approximately twenty minutes before White takes the stage. Katie Beck, Tyler Nordhus, Blair Russell, and Bryton Stoll are the students who get to share their original music at the performance.
