Plane Crash Injures Two

A small plane crashes near the intersection of Highway 77 and Highway 24 near Leo’s Airport Saturday afternoon. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol Report the plane took off and the engine died 300 feet from runway. Pilot was unable to restart the engine and the plane crashed in the ditch off of K57. Kansas Highway Patrol Lt. Greg Harkrader said that the pilot was transferred to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka for a facial injury. A nine-year old child suffered minor injuries.
