SRS Office May Remain Open

It appears the SRS Service Center in Marysville will remain open. KNDY spoke with Mayor Bill Phillipi on Thursday evening. The Mayor said that City Attorney John McNeish and he spoke by phone with a SRS ‘s representative. He said an agreement was drafted that will allow the Marysville SRS Office to remain open through September 2013. Marysville will provide $15,084.67 per year. Steve Cohorst and Robert Peschel will contribute $21,084.67 per year to the Marshall County Partnership for Growth. The Partnership for Growth will be responsible for $33,169.33

Mayor Phillipi reported the Marysville City Council met in special session at noon on Thursday. The council approved the agreement on a vote of 5 – 0. Mayor Phillipi said the SRS secretary is expected to sign the agreement Friday. SRS agrees to keep the Marysville SRS office open and operating at substantially the same level of current services through Sept 2013.
