Heroes Breakfast Receives Overwhelming Response

In commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of the 9/11 Attacks, RSVP volunteers will be honoring the First Responders of Marshall and Washington Counties with a come and go breakfast. The breakfast in Washington County will be at First National Bank of Washington on Thursday, September 8. The breakfast in Marshall County will be Friday, September 9 at Lincoln Center, 405 N. 4th Street, Marysville. Breakfast will be served at both locations from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

In a press release Joni Spellmeier, RSVP Director says, “The response to this breakfast has been overwhelming. There are so many people who want to say thank you to our local heroes.” “We hope that these wonderful people will take time to stop by and let our volunteers say thank you personally.”

RSVP volunteers will make and serve the breakfasts. Anyone wishing to help in any way is encouraged to call RSVP at (785) 562-2154. Donations are welcome and can be mailed to RSVP of Northeast Kansas, 109 S. 8th Street, Marysville, KS 66508.
