Two Injured in Highway 77 Accident

On August 5, 2011 at approximately 1540 hours, Gage County Communications advised of a two vehicle injury accident at the intersection of Highway 77 and Maple Road. It was determined that a 1995 pickup, driven by Paul D Nielson of Wymore, was attempting to turn east onto Maple Road when he was struck by Jeremy J Lindner 29 of Del Rapids, South Dakota. Lindner, who was driving a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle, was attempting to pass vehicles that were between him and Nielson. Both vehicles were southbound on Highway 77.

Jeremy J Lindner and his passenger, Jacquelyn Lindner, 25 also of Del Rapids, South Dakota, were flown by Star Care V to BryanLGH West for their injuries. Both riders were wearing their helmets. Nielson was not injured and had been wearing his seatbelt. Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.

Responding agencies to the accident were Beatrice Rural Fire, Beatrice Fire and Rescue ,and Star Care V.
