Seneca Police Searching for Hit and Run Suspect

Reported by KMZA radio.

The Seneca Police Department is seeking information on a hit & run accident that occurred at 1st and Main Street early Monday afternoon.

Police Chief Brent Schulte says a black, 2002 or newer, GMC or Chevrolet, regular cab pickup, turned the corner at 1st & Main to go east when it struck the front end of a blue 1998 Mustang that was stopped at the stop sign around 12:45 p.m.

The driver of the truck stopped to make sure the other driver wasn‘t hurt and then left the area before police could be notified.

Schulte said there should be minor damage to the rear driver side fender area near the tire.

He said the driver was described as a white male, 20-25 years old, 5‘6″ to 5‘9″ tall, weighing about 180 pounds with a short, reddish colored beard and mustache. He was wearing glasses, a baseball cap, t-shirt and jeans.

Anyone with information on the identity of the driver or location of the truck is asked to call the Seneca Police Department at 336-2141.
