The Marysville City pool will close on August 31st. The pool manager informed the Marysville City Council on Monday that the pool will change the hours of operation when school starts which is scheduled for August 18th. The hours will then be 4 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday and the pool will also be open on Saturdays. The council also decided to remove both diving boards for the remainder of the season.
Two projects will go out for bid in September. The demolition of the Simmons Auditorium and the Railbed renovation will both be open to bidders in September.
Problems with how the land is being used caused the Marysville City Council to approve a re-write of a property lease with Landolls. The lease is for land located on the North edge of 20th Street. According to Debbie Price, City Clerk, the original use of the land was for finished products to be stored. Now Landolls is using the land to store unfinished products and other items not covered in the original lease.
The new lease will include penalties when the lot is used for unfinished products and other items.
