Concerns about the Marysville City Pool were addressed by City Administrator Rick Shain.
Shain reported that there have not been any problems with algae. He said the pool did close early one day after the PH balance was found to be outside acceptable levels. Shain reported that the pumps and chemicals normally added corrected the balance overnight. The cause of the PH levels being out of balance was most likely due to the extreme heat
When asked about the surface being rough and causing injuries to swimmers, Shain said there had been a couple of complaints about rough surfaces and those had been addressed. Shain said the pool manager told him that cleaning or vacuuming the area fixed the problem.
Shain reported the city of Marysville has spent over 110,000 dollars this year to repair and paint the city pool.
