Two Marysville Citizens Arrested in Beatrice

The Beatrice Daily Sun reported three individuals were arrested in Beatrice early Saturday morning for various drug offenses.

According to court documents, the Beatrice Police Department was dispatched to the 1700 block of Elk Street after two male subjects were seen breaking into a vehicle.

Upon arrival, the officer was told by a Gage County deputy that he had observed two male subjects enter a residence at 1800 Scott St.

As the officer approached the home he saw that the back door was open. Through the screen, he saw a woman later identified as Donna L. Patterson, 39, of Marysville, Kan., take out a small baggy. He also observed a male later identified as Sean Keane, 39, also of Marysville, give Jankassa F. Darherjan, 38, of Beatrice, two white pills that he had pulled out of a bag.

When Keane saw the officer, he quickly shoved the baggy into his pocket and alerted the others. The officer than observed Patterson drop the baggy and Darherjan shove several pills in his mouth.

The officer then asked the individuals to put the pills on the table and they complied. Darherjan spit out whatever was in his mouth and he spit out three pills that were identified as Hydrocodone.

Patterson told the officer that the baggy she dropped contained methamphetamine which was later confirmed by tests.

Patterson was arrested for possession of meth and her bond was set at $5,000.

Keane and Darherjan were both arrested for possession of Hydrocodone. Keane was given an additional charge of distribution of a controlled substance.

Bond for Keane was set at $10,000 while the bond for Darherjan was set at $7,500
