Two Beatrice men were arrested Tuesday after allegedly stabbing their friend. Jessalyn A. Stierwalt who told police she had been stabbed twice, once in the left shoulder and once on the left side of her abdomen.
Stierwalt told police she was drinking at 1012 Parkside Lane with a coworker, Scott Roberson-Truman, 20, and another friend, Jerry L. Duke, 32. Stierwalt said she was extremely intoxicated on the evening of July 4 and did not want to attend a scheduled probation appointment the next morning.
Police Capt. Gerald Lamkin said Stierwalt prompted the stabbing, asking Roberson-Truman to stab her so she would be in the hospital and unable to attend her scheduled probation appointment
Both Roberson-Truman and Duke were arrested for second degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony. A $5,000 bond has been set for each man.
