KNDY Looking For Part Time Office/Traffic Manager

KNDY is accepting applications for a part time position as office/traffic manager. Approximately 10 hours per week.

Responsibilities would include order entry, log generation, coop advertising, and receivables management, plus general office practices. Audio production and transfer, telemarketing local businesses for ballgames and special events would also be included. Limited outside advertising sales opportunity also available for the right candidate.

You should be self-motivated, computer literate, with good interpersonal and phone skills. Previous experience in radio, bookkeeping, or office management a plus, but not required.

This is a flexible position, with great potential for the right person. We’d like to see a brief resume, with references.

About Derek Nester

Derek Nester was born and raised in Blue Rapids, and graduated from Valley Heights High School in May of 2000. He attended Cowley College in Arkansas City and Johnson County Community College in Overland Park studying Journalism & Media Communication. After stops at KFRM and KCLY radio in Clay Center, he joined KNDY in 2002 as a board operator and play by play announcer. Derek is now responsible for the digital content of Dierking Communications, Inc. 6 radio stations. In 2005 Derek joined the staff of KCFX radio in Kansas City as a production assistant for the Kansas City Chiefs Radio Network, which airs on 69 radio stations across 9 Midwest states.
