Charges were filed Friday against a Beattie man arrested in connection with several burglaries earlier this week. Gregory Bottom Jr. has been charged in two separate cases for the string of incidents that occurred between Tuesday night, July 5, and early Wednesday morning, July 6.
In the first case, Bottom was charged with burglary of Twin Valley Developmental Services, Beattie, felony theft of more than $1,000 and criminal damage to property valued under $1,000. In the second case, Bottom faces charges of burglary, criminal trespassing and criminal damage to property at Dollar General in Marysville as well as misdemeanor theft at Walmart, criminal damage to property at 12th Street Liquor and Deli, criminal damage to property at Hardee’s, a first offense of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, minor in possession, minor in consumption and obstructing the legal process in a felony case
Bottom is being held at the Marshall County jail, where he has remained since being arrested at Dollar General about 4 a.m. Wednesday. Bond was set Friday for a total of $50,000 cash.
