Washington County COMMISSION MINUTES, June 20, 2011

The Board of Washington County Commission met in regular session on Monday, June 20, 2011 in the commission room at the Washington County Courthouse. Present: Roger Otott, 2nd District Commissioner, Chairman; Gene Helms, 3rd District Commissioner; Elizabeth Hiltgen, County Attorney and Lou Kern, County Clerk. Absent: Alison Mueller, 1st District Commissioner.

Chairman Otott called the meeting to order.

The next regular meeting will be Monday, June 27, 2011 at 8:30 A.M.

Arlene Dague and Arlene Hiesterman, Washington County Historical Society, presented 2012 budget request.

U.S. Representative Tim Huelskamp will hold a town hall meeting in the Courthouse Commission Room on June 29 from 11:00 A.M. to noon rather than the time previously stated.

Christy L’Ecuyer, Business Coordinator, told the board that Kevin McCann, USDA representative, will meet with them next Monday at 2:00 P.M. to discuss the USDA grant application for the hospital project. The commission told Christy to e-mail the draft of the request for proposal to them to review over the week. Christy reported on other contacts and presented 2012 budget request.

David Willbrant, Public Works Director, gave weekly work report; monthly budget report and reviewed 2012 budget request. Debris at the Hanover bridge was discussed.

At 11:45 A.M. Gene Helms moved to go into executive session for 15 minutes with Elizabeth Hiltgen, County Attorney, and Lou Kern, County Clerk, to discuss non elected personnel. Roger Otott seconded and motion carried. At 12:00 noon the board returned to regular session. No action was taken.

The board recessed at 12:05 P.M. for lunch and reconvened at 1:00 P.M.

The board approved and Chairman Otott signed payroll change notice for Derek R. Martin as a jailer effective June 27, 2011.

Meeting adjourned at 1:45 P.M.
