SCC Storm Basketball Coaches to Conduct Camps July 11-13

Boys and girls in grades 4-12 will have the opportunity to participate in a Storm Basketball Camp at Southeast Community College’s Beatrice Campus.

The camps are scheduled for July 11-13 in the Truman Center Gymnasium on the Beatrice Campus, 4771 W. Scott Road.

Boys and girls in grades 4-6 will hold a camp from 10 a.m. to noon those three days, while boys and girls in grades 7-12 will be in camp from 4-6 p.m. The camps are being conducted by Storm men’s basketball coach Joel Wooton and Storm women’s basketball coach Vicki Wooton.

Cost is $60 per player if registered by July 3. The cost is $70 per player after July 3.

Derek Nester was born and raised in Blue Rapids, and graduated from Valley Heights High School in May of 2000. He attended Cowley College in Arkansas City and Johnson County Community College in Overland Park studying Journalism & Media Communication.
