The kick-off speaker for the “Outdoor Sports” exhibit at the Blue Rapids Museum will be Brent Clark, a wildlife biological
technician for the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism. He is knowledgeable about wildlife diversity and habitat requirements. Clark will also speak about the Walk in Hunting and WHIP “Wildlife Habitat Implementation Program”. His collection of objects for display will include pelts, mounts and waterfowl decoys.
The program will be Saturday, June 25th at 2:00 at the Museum on the south side of the Public Square in Blue Rapids. Probably it shouldn’t be advertised as a “guy thing” but it is definitely for those of you who hunt, fish and enjoy the out of doors. Canned summertime beverages and popcorn will be available.
Bring with you anything we can borrow to display for 90 days. The exhibit will include roller skating, ice skating, camping, kick the can, baseball, golf, croquet as well as hunting, boating and fishing. We want items, antique or otherwise, and photos and stories. Questions? Pat Osborne 363 7949.
