A Wymore woman was injured on Tuesday after she swerved to avoid a car travelling toward her in her lane. Just after 7:30 a.m., a single vehicle injury accident was reported on Highway 77 west of South 10th Road. A car driven by 30 year old Jennifer L. Short of Wymore was driving westbound on Highway 77 when she swerved her vehicle to avoid collision with a vehicle that was traveling in her lane of travel. Short then exited the roadway to the north, overcorrected, and lost control of her vehicle. She then entered the south ditch and came to a rest in a deep ravine.
Short was transported to Beatrice Community Hospital by Wymore Rescue and treated for neck injuries sustained from the accident. Short was cited for driving under suspension and the driver of the second vehicle, 20 year old Carl A. Temple of Wymore, was cited for driving left of center.
