Marysville City Council Approves “Option C” for the 7th Street Corridor

?The Marysville City council approved moving forward with a plan labeled “Option C” for the improvement of the 7th Street Corridor. The plan will provide 61 parking spaces and a paved parking lot for the Helvring Center. The council members also approved the use of a $300,000 Kansas Department of Transportation Grant for the project. The city will be responsible for the remaining cost of the estimated $688,000 project or approximately $388,000.

The city council also approved paying $7300 to platt the new industrial park which will be located near the Marysville airport. The expenditure was approved with Mayor Phillipi casting a tie breaking vote.

Marysville City Council members approved using a grant to purchase and install rubber mulch around the playground in the city park. The grant will pay $30,247 toward the project.

The Marysville City Dump will be open Monday thru Friday from 4-6 P.M. and on Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 P.M.
