Fire Destroys Garage and Damages Home

A garage and home fire called out Marysville Firefighters last Wednesday night. Firefighters responded to the home of Matt Wassenberg at 1693 11th road for a report of a garage fire that was spreading to the home. Marysville Fire Chief Dave Richardson reported the garage was a total loss. He said the fire melted siding on the home and spread to a room at the rear of the house and into the attic. Richardson said the home suffered severe smoke and water damage in the rear portion of the home.
