Marysville City Council Approves Moving Forward on Railbed Project

The Marysville City Council approved moving forward with the railbed rehabilitation project using one of several options provided to concerned citizens and business owners at a recent public meeting.

The option provided approximately 63 parking spaces between Broadway and Elm Streets and a 10 feet wide concrete path that will begin at Broadway and follow the abandoned railbed through City Park to Highway 77.

The council also approved beginning the process to create an industrial park near the Marysville City Airport. The council approved the creation of a platte map for the area.

The City of Marysville will host a public meeting to discuss the sales tax increase that will appear on the general election ballot will be held on Thursday March 24th at 6 p.m. at the city building.
